Maafushi activity prices depend on the operator, group size, route and inclusions. Use the examples below to build a budget, then request a final quote for your travel date. These are published operator examples checked on 27 October 2026, not Dhombe booking offers.
Shared excursion price examples
- Reef snorkeling and sandbank day: Kaani advertises its Full Day Trip from US$40 per person.
- Night fishing: Kaani lists a starting price of US$30 per person.
- Nurse-shark and shipwreck route: Kaani's Real Break Trip is advertised at US$90 per person.
- Whale-shark trip: Kaani advertises US$130 per person. This is a separate full-day outing, rather than a short snorkel off Maafushi.
Parasailing and water-sports examples
Arena's published menu lists a 15-minute parasailing single flight at US$80 and a double flight at US$120. Its jet-ski menu lists US$35 for 15 minutes and US$65 for 30 minutes. Kayak and stand-up paddleboard rentals are listed at US$10 for one hour.
Confirm whether a quoted amount is per person, per flight or per craft. Ask whether “15 minutes” means actual riding or flying time, and whether briefing and boat travel are additional. Reconfirm taxes, service charges and photo inclusions before payment.
What a snorkeling package should explain
Compare the number of water stops, total boat time, guide support, flotation equipment, snorkeling gear, lunch, drinking water and photos. A lower headline price can work out differently if transfers or equipment cost extra. Private tours and shared departures should be compared separately.
Tell the operator about your swimming ability and any children before reserving. Ask about minimum passenger numbers, age or weight limits for water sports, cancellation terms and what happens when weather changes the itinerary.
Choose a package that fits your trip
Start with one reef-and-sandbank trip if you want variety. Add a specific wildlife excursion only if you are comfortable with its boat time and swimming requirements. Leave space between tours for weather changes; wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
